Create your own fundraiser
There are lots of ways you can fundraise to help support the Thin Red Line Appeal.
From running a marathon, packing bags at the local supermarket, organising a pub quiz, or or shaving your beard, whatever you do, we’re very grateful that you’ve decided to support us.
Your donation will help us secure the future of our Regimental Museum and ensure the stories of The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders are preserved so that their feats of sacrifice and bravery can inspire and educate future generations.

Did you know that setting up an online sponsorship page with JustGiving is a quick and easy way to fundraise for us? Sign up at our JustGiving page.
- Share your page link with your friends, family and colleagues by email or on social media so they can sponsor you anywhere, at any time.
- People can donate securely, quickly and easily with a credit or debit card.
- The money you raise goes directly to The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum Trust
Take sponsorship forms to your event for those who would rather sponsor you in person than online. You can download a sponsorship form HERE. Remember to ask them to fill in their information so we can claim Gift Aid.
The first donation on a sponsorship form or online page sets the precedent – if you can encourage your first donor to make a larger donation, the rest of your donors are likely to give more too!

Don’t forget to Gift Aid!
We can receive an extra 25% on the money you raise if your sponsors are UK taxpayers. Ask donors to tick the Gift Aid box on the donation form if they are able to gift aid their donation.
Ask your company to match your fundraising
Many employers will match your fundraising which is a great way to double the money you raise. Let us know if your employer is prepared to do this so we can thank them.

Whilst we really appreciate your support, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum Trust is not responsible for organising, supervising or hosting your fundraising activity.
You are responsible for your event and ensuring that it is run in a safe, legally compliant manner and does not in any way cause harm to any participant or damage our name or reputation.
The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum Trust does not accept any liability or responsibility for your activity or for anyone taking part in it. If in doubt, refer to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice.
All of your publicity materials, including tickets and posters, must include the words ‘Raising funds in aid of The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum Trust, Registered Charity Scotland No. SC042084.’

Please remember to send us your donations within two weeks following your event. Please include a note of how you raised the money:
