Argyll’s Shop Gets New Makeover

The Museum shop has recently had a makeover giving customers more space to move around.  Previously the shop lacked floor space by having an almost floor to ceiling shop counter.  This counter was halved, then completely removed allowing more floor space.  The shop also received a new carpet and island stands ready for the summer season.

Your Museum Needs You!

The Museum is currently recruiting volunteers to help out in two WW1 projects.  The first is researching in our archives for public requests into their ancestors, the second is being part of a team to upload war diary entries for all battalions for each week of the war during the next four years.  If you are interested and would like to find out more please contact Zoe Pollock at z.pollock@outlook.com.

Kidz Day at the Museum

The Museum held a Kidz Day Weekend last month to get success!  The event was ran by volunteers over the weekend of the 12th of April and included the Museums World War One handling box where the kids learn’t about soldiers uniforms and toiletries in the trenches, a trail form the regiments mascot Cruachan with prizes, dressing up in clothes from the regiments past and free face painting.

Due to the success of this weekend Kidz Day will be returning this Month on the 24th for one day only.
