Are you an outstanding Fundraiser who relishes being in the thick of it? If so, this could be the challenge to test your mettle. Stirling Castle has been the spiritual home to the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders since 1881 and today, the Museum continues to be the residual Regimental HQ. The Regiment has fought in actions across the globe – “The Thin Red Line” at Balaklava and the retaking of Crater in Aden are but two etched into the National conscience. The Museum is a fitting and enduring tribute to those who have served and fallen.

The Museum is at the heart of a world-class heritage site, visited by more than 400,000 people annually. This provides a fantastic platform from which to enhance the Museum’s position as a premier visitor attraction and to secure an exciting future. As Capital Appeal Manager and reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will work closely with the Appeal Team and the Communications Manager to develop and review the Capital Appeal Strategy, develop and implement the Capital Appeal Plan and create a sustainable fundraising model. The key to your success will be how effectively you manage and deliver a £3 million Capital Appeal to support the Museum’s imaginative and innovative programme of development and secure its fundraising future.

If you’re going to be in the vanguard of this charge, you will need to be an highly-accomplished Fundraiser with major Capital Appeals experience. You will also be a bit of an all-rounder with well-honed skills in major giving, community and events fundraising and marketing. domain data You’ll be a strategic thinker, highly-organised and motivated, tenacious, an outstanding communicator and persuader, an agile problem-solver and a manager whose style is collaborative, yet positive and effective.
