Golf - The Golden Thread

(We must not forget them)

The Argylls have a great golf tradition, having presented the "Argyll and Sutherland Bowl" to the Army in 1921.  Today it is still played for and is open to teams of four from all British Infantry and Armoured Regiments, irrespective of size, and to the infantry element of the Brigade of Gurkhas.

5 SCOTS Golf Society has been fairly inactive over the last few months due to our deployment to Kenya on Exercise GRAND PRIX 7 and other Mission Specific Training (MST) for our imminent departure on operations in Afghanistan.
